Michael Schaub of Bookslut probably wouldn’t say something like “He’s like a young American Gogol,” if he didn’t really mean it. So I am just going to trust him and read Seth Fried’s story collection on Soft Skull, The Great Frustration. Not that I didn’t believe Michael, but I was further convinced this was a good idea after I checked out this story Fried published in Vice a few years back.
Also, this book trailer helps.
