Just heard the sad news that Arthur Magazine has officially folded.  First it went from on print hiatus, then it was resurrected, then it folded into online only, and now we get nothingness.

I was obsessed with Arthur for a few years, and will go out on a limb by guessing that it’s the last regularly printed publication that I’ll ever like enough to keep going to a local coffee shop to check if the latest issue has arrived.

The features were always engaging, the content was always really interesting, and procuring a copy didn’t cost a dime.  The whole thing seemed like–and probably was–a labor of love by all the people involved.  Even though the print version of Arthur has not been around in a few years, the news that the entire enterprise has ceased is a huge bummer.
