Bites: Jewish people talking Wagner, Inglourious reviews, Zoetrope, Scottish twee, and more

By Jason Diamond

One of my favorite Jewish websites tackles the composer who has helped spawn at least three good Woody Allen jokes: Richard Wagner (pictured above).

  • Zoetrope announced their Fall 2009 issue: “Debuting in mid-September, the Fall edition features the colorful, curvaceous artwork and design of Rex Ray. Contributors include Sam Shepard, A. L. Kennedy, Han Ong, Keith Ridgway, and John Krasinski, who addresses his soon-to-be-released film adaptation of David Foster Wallace’s Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.”
  • A.V Club weighs in on Tarantino’s newest work: “Inglourious Basterds is a film years in the making and hours in the watching, but it seems designed to inspire mere minutes of reflection.” Yikes.
