We love you and stuff, and uh, thanks for telling us people make music in Brooklyn, but we sorta think St. Vincent trumps many of the 23 songs in front of her on your list of the top 40 songs that define the Brooklyn “sound” right now.
That’s just our opinion, and maybe if you go see her headlining any of the dates we are posting below, you might consider printing a retraction?
Totally of note is the January 29th concert where “St.Vincent will make her Lincoln Center debut with a headline performance at the Allen Room in New York’s Columbus Circle as part of the acclaimed American Songbook Series. Celebrating its twelfth year of exploring the golden age of musical standards through to today’s most dynamic contemporary songwriting, the season also includes Marianne Faithfull, Suzanne Vega, David Hidalgo and Louie Perez of Los Lobos and Dirty Projectors.”
