This isn’t really surprising or anything; their first album was very heavily influenced by Tuli Kupferberg, Ed Sanders and Co.  But listening to The Beets recorder filled Daytrotter sessions, I’m now more than willing to say that they’ve finally usurped The Black Lips as carriers of the Fug flame.
