For the last few years, The Millions has assembled a look at anticipated books in the year ahead. It never fails to bolster to-read lists for any number of readers, and serves as a solid reminder about books one might have been aware of and the kind of thing that can point someone in the direction of an author they might encounter for the first time.

With an eye towards doing something similar, but focused on smaller presses, Civil Coping Mechanisms publisher Michael J. Seidlinger has begun the work of putting this together. He now has a list of titles from publishers ranging from Coffee House to Lazy Fascist to Archipelago, and has put out a call for writers to contribute.
